Fundraising for Haiti-home made dog biscuits!

My Spanish students at Montessori Community School raisied money for the school in Haiti by making and selling homemade dog biscuits. They called them "K-9 Krunchies". Would your child's school like to fundraise for the school in Haiti too? You can do it all in school or send the ingredients home to make. Here is the recipe:

MILK BONE DOG BISCUITS RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
       To add at home:
        3/4 cup hot water
        1/3  cup margarine
        1 egg, beaten

Dry ingredients (included in this bag):
         ½ cup powdered milk
         1 teaspoon salt
         2 cups white flour
         1 cup whole wheat flour

In large bowl, pour hot water over the margarine. Stir in egg.  Stir in dry mixture, ½ cup at a time.
Knead for a few minutes to form a stiff dough. Pat or roll onto flat surface to ½ inch thickness.
Cut into shapes. Bake  on cookie sheet at 325 degrees for 50 mins. They will dry out quite hard.

Please return the biscuits to school for packaging and sale.
